Audubon SHS
The park contains a portion of the original Oakley Plantation which was the home to the artist and naturalist John James Audubon in 1821. Many of his most famous bird paintings were done while at Oakley House. Oakley House has been restored to a look of 1821, and the park interprets life in Early Louisiana from 1795-1824.
