The
park features a spacious Nature Center and a network of boardwalk trails into
the wetlands adjacent to the Tickfaw River. Visitors can canoe the river or
utilize the trail system for nature photography and birdwatching opportunities.
Overnight facilities include 14 cabins, a group camp, 30 improved campsites and
20 tent campsites. Picnic pavilions can be rented for day use.
All
visitors in the Park's Campground are required by LA Office of State Parks
Rules & Regulation to inhabit all camping sites using a Conversion Van (recreational vehicle), Pickup Truck
with a Camper top or tent conversion, Pop – up Camper or a Camper Trailer/RV, an enclosed tent or any combination of the stated equipment. "Car Camping" is allowed in combination with any of the the above unit descriptions.
When planning an event such as family gatherings, employee picnic, school field trips, youth activities, weddings, birthday parties or your group has any special request please contact the park directly to obtain a "Facility Use Agreement" which is required for all events. A minimum of two weeks in advance is needed to process the Agreement and to allow the Park Staff ample time to have your area ready for your group.
